Darren Ogden
Man, can this dude flat-out fly at TT. He and his highly tuned FTZ motors are starting to give the top pros fits in the 250 Pro-Am class. At the Greenville, TN I-81 Speedway GNC event Ogden tucked behind Hitt and Gust all the way to the checkers in the 250 Pro-Am main event. Get this, Ogden won four of the six 250A TT events and earned enough points from the TT events alone to put himself in fourth place for the year end points race in the super tough 250A class! He easily won the TT 250A National Championship, but needed to score points in at least one MX to be eligible for total GNC points. On a side note, Ogden and Gust traded some heated words after their 250 Pro-Am heat race. It appeared that the confrontation started when Gust passed Ogden in a tight spot on the track, then later Ogden thought Gust was blocking him on the long back straight. We're not sure what went down, but we do know that you'll want to look for the number 64 of Ogden for exciting racing in '01.
